Saint Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition Mission, Vision, Rev. Burch

I can Depend on GOD

About Us

We are an ecumenical group of religious leaders within Saint Louis City and County who meet monthly and seek to engage in transformative and collaborative ministry.  This faith-based coalition brings together organizations, communities, and individuals who share a common vision and work collaboratively to address social, racial, and economic justice issues in the St. Louis area. The Metropolitan Coalition is a community of leaders who believe in the power of collective action to create positive change in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.  By uniting diverse groups under a shared purpose, faith-based coalitions amplify and advocate for justice, equity, and compassion.

Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the St. Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition is for a group of Saint Louis City and County religious leaders to collaborate regularly as partners to develop spiritual solutions and ideas that will hopefully create positive change toward social, racial, and economic justice issues in the St. Louis Metropolitan area for organizations, communities, and individuals.

Our Vision:

The vision of the St. Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition is to continually improve our faith-based coalition with religious leaders with new innovative ideas, strategies, and activities that will make us more effective and efficient going into the future.

Our Goals and Objectives:

To apply biblical knowledge and wisdom to address social, racial, and economic justice issues and to work toward developing, strengthening, and empowering the community.

Our Foundation Scripture:

The St. Louis Metropolitan Clergy Coalition will help develop, connect, strengthen, and empower the community as found in Ephesians 4:16, where the Bible says, “from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love”. This verse can be interpreted as meaning that when each part of the body works properly, the body grows and matures, building itself up in love.
